What are the rules and how to book a ticket for minors?

From 0 to 5 years:

Can I use the baby comfort?
Your baby's journey will be safer if accommodated in the baby seat. In this situation, you will need to reserve a seat for the child and contact the bus in advance to confirm the use of the equipment on the bus.
From 6 to 15 years:

Yes, the total ticket price.
Do they need to be accompanied?
Yes. It is mandatory to accompany relatives up to the 3rd degree, such as mother, father, siblings, grandparents, uncles, great-grandparents, nephews over 18 years of age, or legal guardians.
What documentation is needed for the trip?
For the minor: ID or original birth certificate;
From the accompanying person: official document from the accompanying person proving the relationship.
Other information:
If there is no relationship between the minor and their companion, a written authorization signed by the legal guardian and notarized will be required.
From 16 to 17 years:

Yes, the total ticket price.
Do they need to be accompanied?
No.
What documentation is required for the trip?
Minors will need to present official identification with a photo.
Attention:
- Travel authorization granted by those responsible can be requested virtually via the link: https://www.e-notariado.org.br/customer/travel-permit-providers.
- If, for a valid reason, the minor needs to travel unaccompanied by a legal guardian or relative, they will need to present their original ID or birth certificate together with a court authorization.
- In international travel without the presence of the father and mother, judicial authorization is required for all minors (up to 17 years old).
- It is worth emphasizing that these are Brazil's general rules for interstate travel (between different states). If your trip is intercity (between cities in a single state), we recommend you consult the responsible transport company.
